Pool deck, turf lawn and travertine paving

Pool decking, lawn and boundary wall specified together, so the levels meet cleanly and the whole yard drains the way it should.

The surface

Travertine pavers run from the house to the water line. The site was cleared of grass, roots and debris, then excavated to depth for a compacted base of crushed stone, with a sand layer spread over it to bring the pavers up level.

The lawn

Artificial turf sits behind the deck on a base of quarter-minus crushed gravel at a three inch depth, graded to eliminate low spots so water never pools on it. It stays green through the summer without irrigation.

The boundary

A block wall closes the yard for privacy and security. Crafted from high-quality concrete blocks, it is built to withstand intense heat and monsoon rains.
