An outdoor kitchen built as an extension of the home, positioned so meals are prepared, cooked and served without stepping inside.

The build

Natural stone, stainless steel and durable pavers come together to form the installation. The layout was planned so the built-in grill, refrigerator, sink and storage all sit where they are actually reached from, rather than wherever the run of wall allowed.

The cover

A timber pergola shades the working side of the kitchen, which is what makes the space usable through an Arizona summer evening rather than only in winter.

The services

Gas and water lines were installed by licensed technicians. Every material was selected for weather resistance, because the appliances and the masonry have to survive the same heat the yard does.
